Village Vet Whittlesford is part of the Village Vet family of practices. Reviews describe both routine care for cats and dogs and more urgent situations: one owner reports their dog was stabilised with pain relief after a road traffic accident, kept under observation with updates, and then referred on for surgery once stable. Other specifics mentioned include fitting an owner in when they arrived a week early, and dental-focused care for a cat under a vet named Adrian (described by the reviewer as a dental specialist). While many reviews praise clear explanations and professionalism, a minority describe inconsistent experiences between vets and problems with communication/administration.

Friendly and professional service from receptionist to vet and vet nurses.

On Wednesday morning lastweek our dog was hit by a car and as he is registered with The Village Vet in Whittlesford and is close by I rushed him there. I ran in and told them what happened and the receptionist rushed to get the nurses to come get him. The receptionist offered us tea and coffee and was very kind and compassionate. The vetinary staff checked my dog over and made him comfortable with pain relief and once he was stable we were able to see him. They kept us updated and he was later referred to a specialist clinic for surgery. They were just amazing and made me feel confident he was being well cared for and was safe. I cannot thank them all enough. My dog Chester has now had his surgery and on the road to recovery. Fantastic staff all round x

Always a fantastic service. Adrian is a dental specialist and has really helped get my cat back on track, and hopefully living a long and happy life. Village vets always try to help... even when you turn up for an appointment a week early, they managed to fit us in!

Read the bad reviews because they are very accurate of this practice. I gave this vet three chances and I will not be going back there again! First time I went, the first vet I had was excellent, she was understanding and very kind and gentle with my pup. Second time,it was a different vet who was terrible, clumsy. made my dog squeal trying to give him his injection and she had to take him away to get it done, couldn't even get his worming tablet in him and told me to take it home and do it myself! third time, took my pup to be neutered and was then called and said he had Fear aggression and they were refusing to do it. I know my dog and he DEFINITELY does not have fear aggression. Took him to another vet, they said they didn't know what they were talking about and neutered him with no issues at all! To top it off, they called me sounding very cheesed off that a new vet had requested my dogs history and details, I gave them permission and told them to send them ASAP... two months later.. my new vet still has not received them! They rang me yet again asking me for permission to send my dogs details to my new vet, I said yes, I've told you three times now to send them, please send them ASAP. 8 Months later they have still not sent the details to my new vet, I've given up asking them and we just started his vaccinations from the start. They change vets like the weather and most seem to have no real life experience, expensive and unprofessional.

I have used the whittlesford village vet for many years now. And always had excellent service and advice, from reception to the vet. They are so thorough and understanding. Which was definitely the case when i took Amber there yesterday. The vet explained everything about Amber's problems, and made sure that we understood we new everything in what he was explaining.

Natasha Cairns saw our lovely boy Sparky this morning who was very unwell and helped us so much with deciding what was best for his care. She was very reassuring when we were distressed and explained everything needed to know clearly and with so much respect. We are very grateful that she helped us send Sparky off with such dignity, love and care. Thank you ❤️
